1) I think the audience in this poem is a baby born because it mostly talks about birth.I think the speaker is talking to Jesus because i think author asking for help. Its when the speaker is saying "to disdain the plaster saints before which your mother kneels praying with embarrassing fervor that you survive in the place you have chosen to live:a bare, cold room with no pictures on the walls, a forgetting place where she fears you will die".

1)The audience are young people. She's talking to people that forget. "It is a dangerous thing to forget the climate of your birthplace......".

1) I think that the audience is the small children because it tells them how dangerous it could be if you forget things. The speaker is talking to the people that forgot about their young life. My thoughts were influenced my this sentence "It is dangerous to forget the climate of your birthplace".

The meaning and the message of this poem is basically telling the reader to not forget where you come from. And its not always good to forget.
1. The audience can be anybody, kids, teens or adults. I think the speaker is talking to anyone out there that forgetting things can be harmful.

2. I think the message about this poem is to don't be scared to show the world who you are and remember that you are the only 'you' that's going to live. Don't others like make a full out of you just because you're different. Its like remembering who you are , but you can't attack your enemy/hater.

1) The audience for this poem are too people in general, however the speaker of this poem is "talking to" those who don't understand that forgetting is dangerous. The reason I say "those who don't understand that forgetting is dangerous" is because Judith states that "el olvido is a dangerous thing".
ReplyDelete2) The message of this poem is to not forget simplest things such as were you came from, what you wore, and what you had done. I think that if you forget those things you might "die of loneliness and exposure" because you wouldn't know who you are.
